Why there are four championship courses next to a beach city
Because Korea plays golf, Korea flies here about 150 times a week, and a round in Seoul in February is impossible.

Korean and Japanese golfer arrivals are at record levels, and the Korean market in particular has shifted from cheap package tours towards golf, wellness and family travel — which is exactly the segment these courses were built for. What that means for you as an individual traveller. The courses are excellent and the conditioning is good. They are also priced for package buyers arriving on a pre-paid stay-and-play deal, which is why a walk-up round costs what it does. If you are used to $40 green fees in Chiang Mai or Kuala Lumpur, the numbers below will look wrong. They are not: this coast is priced against Korea and Japan, not against the rest of Southeast Asia.
The season is the same as everything else here. Late February to April is the sweet spot: dry, 26–31°C, playable all day. May to August is playable but brutal after 10:00 — take the twilight rate seriously. September to December is the monsoon and the courses drain better than the city does, but you are gambling. All four sit within roughly 40km of the beach strip, which is why this coast works as a golf base at all — you can play a different course each morning from the same hotel. Twilight rates cut 20–30% and are the single best value on this page, particularly between May and August when an afternoon round in 35°C is not the plan anyway. Hoiana is about 30km south and, since the July 2025 merger, legally inside Da Nang.
Caddies, buggies, twilight rates and the honest cost of a golf week
Caddies are included in the green fee at all four courses — this is the Vietnamese standard and not an upsell. They are generally good, they will read greens for you, and tipping is expected on top: budget 200,000–500,000₫ (about $8–20) depending on the course and the round.
Twilight is where the value is. A 20–30% cut off a $200 round is $40–60, and between May and August the late tee time is the more pleasant round anyway — highs are 34–35°C with 75–90% humidity, which is a 40°C feels-like by lunchtime.
A realistic week. Four rounds at an average of $180 is $720 before anything else. Add a beachfront four-star at $40–60 a night, transfers of 200,000–400,000₫ each way to the courses, caddie tips and a 250,000–450,000₫ massage after each round — which in this city is the cheapest part of the day — and a golf week here lands somewhere between $1,200 and $2,000 a head excluding flights. It is a good holiday. It is not a budget one, and the rest of Da Nang is very cheap by comparison.
Booking: most visitors arrive on a package through a golf tour operator, and that is usually the cheaper route for four or more rounds. Independent walk-up bookings are straightforward, especially outside the Korean high season — call the pro shop or book through your hotel's concierge, which the beachfront four-stars and the Non Nuoc resorts do routinely.
